New Year’s Resolutions.

I didn’t have one last year, or the year before that.  But before that I had the resolution to sing more, and to go to the pottery painting place and paint something.  I did both of those things, so I have decided I needed some silly fun things for 2009.  And I have THREE!

#1.  Go to the highest point in Louisiana.  The highest point in Louisiana is Driskill Mountain.  Ha.  It’s more like a hobbit hill.  It’s elevation is 535 feet.  It’s a mile into the woods about an hour or so away from Shreveport.  I’m going to go up there in 2009.

#2.  Take a picture of the Goose and his friends and find out if the Goose’s friends are small gooooses or if they are ducks.  At the end of the block where Chris lives is a nursing home.  Out in front of the nursing home are two little fountain pond things where a goose and his two duck friends live.  I think they are ducks.  Chris thinks they are small geese.  In 2009 I’m going to go down there and take pictures and find out if they are ducks.

#3.  Dress up for halloween.

SQUEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

#1.  I get an extra paid day off that I didn’t know about.  So today is like Friday for me and then a really long weekend.  Hooray!  Hooray!

#2.  While driving down Clyde Fant, I saw this big black man wearing not very many clothes and he had huge white hair.  He was standing on top of a rock and waving a sword around.  wtf??

#3. It’s the last day of 2008.  I will probably be sleeping before midnight, because I am so wild and crazy that way.

#4.  Yesterday, I was sitting on the couch and Darwin was rubbing up against my head, and he slipped and ended up around my neck like a cat necklace. He sat there for a minute like he was comfortable until I started laughing and then he ran off.

#5.  Saturday Chris and I are going to Natchitoches.  We’re going to go to Grand Ecore Visitor Center because it looks pretty and it has something to do with the Civil War.  And we’re going to wander around the historic district and find some place interesting to eat.

So we finally got to wear the Christmas cracker hats on Christmas Eve AND on Christmas day! Woo! I only have pictures of the gold Christmas eve ones.
