I have missed making silly things like this. I should do this more often.

On Tuesday I noticed that the battery in the truck looked really bad, and I made plans to take the car in next Wednesday to get a bunch of stuff repaired. And after work today the truck decided not to start! AHHH!!!! So…my dad decided it had to be the battery and went to buy me one while I waited at work.

While I was waiting my mom called me and told me that one of her friends had 200 bowling shoes and would Chris and I want a pair. And I said, WHY YES WE WOULD! People just don’t offer you free bowling shoes everyday, how could I possibly say no to that! Her husband and grandson had gone to an auction at Barksdale where they were auctioning off crap from the little bowling alley on base that had closed. The grandson wanted one pair of bowling shoes, but you couldn’t just bid on one pair of shoes. They bid $20 on all 200, and nobody else bid at all. Now the grandson is making money selling bowling shoes to his friends at school and starting some strange trend at his high school. lol.

So I was pretty happy about the shoes. And then my dad showed up with the fancy new battery, and he put it in…AND THE CAR STILL WOULDN’T START! AHHHH! He called to have it towed and they said it would be an hour and a half wait. We waited. And waited. And I tried starting the car a few more times and magically it started! Hooray!

And now I am FINALLLLLLLLLLLY back at home after dropping the truck off. I really hope it doesn’t cost a billion dollars to get it fixed. And I really hope he doesn’t say: there is no hope for this car you must buy a new one.

Three huge trees have fallen in the yard because of the weather today. I’m not sure if it was the wind or just the wet ground that made them fall over. I really think today should be Friday.
