Christmas Treeeeeeeeeee!

Yesterday, me, Chris, Erin, and Bill went to get Christmas trees.

When we got back, we thought that would be the end of the Christmas tree adventuring. We were wrong! Chris and I couldn’t get it to stay in the stand, so Chris called his mom, and I called Erin and Bill. And they all came over to offer their assistance in getting it to stand upright. Bill and Chris did most of the work, but Erin, Chris’s mom, and I enjoyed watching them. :-)

Darwin is absolutely certain that we got the tree for him. He has spent most of his time sleeping underneath it and staring up at the lights and nibbling on the pine needles and occassionally trying to climb it. IT IS THE CUTEST THING EVER.

Pretty paper lights!

I love world market.

Today I discovered World Market. I went there to look for cat safe Christmas decorations, and ended up with a set of round paper lights that are now over the top of the curtains. I love them. If it was possible, I would string these lights up everywhere. What I really wanted was the GIANT paper light ball that had to be a couple of feet across, but I have no idea what I’d do with something so large. But my little lights are so glowly and happy and warm looking. YAY! And I was so entertained by the store that I went there later with Erin, and my mom and aunt and we all were oohing and ahhing over all the interesting things in the store. It was great fun.

I was sick earlier this week. I was very very dizzy on Tuesday night – running into walls, not being able to keep my eyes open because of the spinning room. Ugh. It was caused by allergies and my ears being stopped up. I’m feeling much better, but my ears are stuffy again today. I hate swallowing the Musinex pills. They are ginormous and it always takes me several tries to swallow one.

Other fun things: Tomorrow is NEW MOON with Amanda and Erin! And tomorrow night is Amanda and Chris Benard’s going away party! And then only three VERYVERY easy days at work next week! And then Thanksgiving! And next Saturday is the Christmas tree farm and Christmas decorating! YAY! A full list full of fun things to do!

My new name is Ginger.

Most mornings when I get to work, I stop at the 3rd floor where the kitchen is and put my lunch in the fridge. The two really old ladies who run the building always say hi to me. Today I walked into the kitchen and they were in there cutting a cake and one of the old ladies asked me: “Do you want a piece of cake, Ginger?” I said, “Yes.” Not because I wanted a piece really but because the other two guys in there wouldn’t take any and she REALLY WANTED SOMEONE TO HAVE CAKE. There is always food in the kitchen for everybody to eat, so I didn’t realize this was a special occasion until they told me it was her birthday. I couldn’t just run off with the cake. I had to eat it with her and listen to what she did for her birthday and then WE ALL SANG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HER. All four of us. And then I left and she said, “Thank you for coming, Ginger.” lmao!!!

SO FAR THIS DAY IS REALLY REALLY FUNNY.
