Do you know what I love? CEMETERIES!

On Sunday, my mom and aunt and I went looking for graves requested at findagrave.com. I took my dad’s fancy camera and my favorite lens. Unfortunately, this lens does not allow for zooming in and out, but it does take the sharpest pictures ever with really great color and makes me want to learn things about photography. There are so many buttons though on that camera. OMG SO MANY! But because there was no zooming I spent a lot backing up or crouching down trying to figure out how to get the whole thing in the picture. It was kind of exhausting. It’s hard work taking pictures of graves! We found all 5 that we went looking for and people emailed me back after I posted the pictures at findagrave. It was fun! I want to do it again!!!

I had other adventures during the weekend, but I don’t have those pictures uploaded yet. SHOOTING! AND MY OLD TREEHOUSE! And my mom’s birthday! WOO!

ALSO. I. HATE. DAYLIGHT. SAVINGS.

….

I am currently sitting in my car on theside of the road in the middle of nowhere in mooringsport, la. Chris and I are waiting for my dad to get here with some bolt cutters so we can go back into the woods to shoot. We’ve been waiting a while now. Forever. I’m a little bit hungry. But we have our iPhones to play with. So far chris has kept me up to date on bike racing on France and I’ve read stuff to him about wild pigs. Now I’m trying out my wordpress app to see if it works.

Hobbit Map!

I have a hobbit map! Last week I saw them for sale at Maker’s Market.com, made by this guy. My dad ordered one for me. And it looks just like the map in the movie. It’s not very big. A little larger than an 8X10. Like the size of a map you would fold up and put in your pocket. It came with instructions on how to rough up the edges and the spots on the map where there were supposed to be holes were green. I’ve spent the past two afternoons scratching the green parts off my map to make it look old. And now I am finished and I’ve put it in a frame. I LOVE IT!

Look it’s Smaug! On my map!
